Great Game

We love going to watch the Texas Stars and the Grand Rapids Griffins go to battle during a hockey game at the HEB Cedar Park Event Center. Not a bad seat in the house. We actually ended up in a club section with excellent seating, this is quite by accident as I am the one that bought the tickets this time! This is the only game of the year where we route for the opposite team. The Grand Rapids Griffin's are the feeder team to the Detroit Redwings and since my husband was a Junior Redwing back in the dinosaur ages we are compelled to be loyal to them during that game. We have now lived in Texas more years than we lived in Michigan so the rest of the season it’s the Texas Stars all the way!

Fun Time but Venue needs improvement

This was my first time visit to an XFL game and I was shocked when they wouldn’t let us bring a baby bag in. It has to be a clear bag, which I understand for security but it was an open bag with no zipper and you can clearly see all the contents. Once inside we noticed lots of other visitors had backpacks and bags that were not clear. We have always had access to other venues without a clear bag because it was clearly a baby bag with just essentials. The food vendors need training! Half the staff knew what they were doing and half didn’t. They ran out of items 10 minutes before the game even started, hot dog buns was just 1 item. The waiting in 1 line was more than 15 minutes because people were taking forever to make food. The soda machines had no drinks at the start of the game! How can you have no outside food or drink policy and not have anything from the fountain? I went down to the Shipley donut and coffee line and they had no donuts left and were out of creamer at 645!!! Also no vendor took cash except for the parking and beer. I got my tickets off of vettix and most likely won’t return. The game and announcers were fun entertainment so giving it 3 for that.
